Empire MacKintosh: Bringing Affordable Homeownership to Brookhaven

Empire Communities is set to begin vertical construction this month on Empire MacKintosh, a 53-home development in Brookhaven. This project aims to make homeownership more accessible in a typically pricey area.

Situated along Apple Valley Road, the development features townhomes inspired by the Scottish Mackintosh style, blending old-world brownstone with modern energy. The homes will range from 1,500 to 2,000 square feet, with three or four bedrooms and two-car garages.

The project includes two pocket parks and is walkable to the MARTA rail station and nearby shops and restaurants. Prices will start from the mid-$600,000s, offering a more affordable option in a market where the median home price is $746,000.

Construction is expected to start within weeks, with the first homes ready by late this year or early next.
