Join the 43rd Sickle Cell 5K Road Race/Walk and Support a Great Cause
When: Saturday, September 9 @ 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Where: East Point Commons, 2727 East Point Street, East Point, GA 30344
The Sickle Cell 5K Road Race/Walk is one of the SCFG’s major fundraising events, attracting thousands of participants and supporters every year. The event features a scenic 5K route through downtown East Point, starting and ending at East Point City Hall. The race/walk is open to all ages and fitness levels, and participants can choose to run or walk at their own pace.
After the race/walk, you can enjoy a free outdoor concert and candlelight vigil at the East Point Commons. The concert will feature live performances by local artists and bands. The candlelight vigil will honor the memory of those who have lost their lives to sickle cell disease, as well as celebrate the resilience and courage of those who are living with it.
