New Mexico-style Street Tacos El Gordo Coming to Uptown Atlanta This Fall

The owners of Birria el Gordo, known for their birria tacos, are opening a new restaurant across from 26 Thai Kitchen and Bar and the Lindbergh MARTA station. El Gordo will feature Mexico City-style street tacos, including al pastor from a spit, tequila cocktails, and live music on the patio.

El Gordo is owned by the Pineda family, who also run Birria El Gordo in Marietta. They specialize in birria tacos, which are made with slow-cooked meat and cheese dipped in a spicy broth.

El Gordo will be a great place to enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine and culture in Atlanta.
