Shepherd Center Expands Its Services and Facilities in Buckhead
Shepherd Center, a hospital that specializes in spinal cord and brain injury rehabilitation, is undergoing a major expansion project on Peachtree Road in Buckhead. The project, called “Pursuing Possible”, aims to provide more patients and families with world-class care and accommodations.
The project consists of two new buildings: the Arthur M. Blank Family Residences tower and the Marcus Center for Advanced Rehabilitation. The former will offer 160 housing units for patients and families, while the latter will add 48 more beds, a 30,000-square-foot Innovation Institute, and a dedicated clinical lab for testing new treatments.
The expansion project will help Shepherd Center meet the growing demand for its services, as it currently treats about 900 inpatients and 7,100 outpatients per year.
