Looking for a unique behind-the-scenes experience this season that brings you closer to the animal world? Head to Zoo Atlanta on Saturday, May 9 for Keeper for a Day: Reptiles and Amphibians, a hands-on morning where you and a friend dive into real zoo care with the Herpetology team.

This experience lets you join the Herpetology Care Team and immerse yourself in the science of caring for all kinds of scaly and slimy creatures from frogs to endangered lizards. Participants meet animal care professionals, learn about positive reinforcement training and enrichment, and gain conservation knowledge you won’t forget.
You’ll spend time behind the scenes, helping with real care tasks like raking, hosing and cleaning, and discover what it takes to look after these fascinating animals. This isn’t just sightseeing, it’s active, educational, and totally unforgettable for reptile lovers aged 16 and up.
Each registration includes access to this hands-on program and Zoo Atlanta admission afterward so you can explore more animal fun on your own.
